Breast Intentions is a 501 c 3 charitable organization that was founded in 2007 by two teenage cousins, Erika Rech and Mike Ruane after their mother and aunt were both diagnosed with breast cancer. They witnessed first hand how devastating a breast cancer diagnosis is to not only the person with the diagnosis but the family as well. The mission of Breast Intentions is to provide support to women in crisis facing financial hardship while battling breast cancer. Breast Intentions helps with rent, mortgage, utility bills, food cards, everyday expenses. Breast Intentions has no paid staff and is run entirely by volunteers.
